Description Mike Kaganski 2024-05-02 07:41:59 UTC
https://help.libreoffice.org/24.2/en-US/text/scalc/01/12040300.html?System=WIN&DbPAR=CALC&HID=modules/scalc/ui/advancedfilterdialog/dialog-action_area1

The page doesn't include a mention, that the search criteria application depends on Options->Calc->Calculate->[ ] Search criteria ... must apply to whole cells. This results in people being confused by tutorials like [1], where a filter like simple text "excel" is used to filter all cells *containing* the text, regardless if that is the only content, or just a part of the filtered cell content (an example of confusion is at [2] (Rus).

Possibly just resolving bug 160903 would automatically address this, because the text introduced in bug 131995 contains the mention of the setting.
