I've created new animation for Bluetooth via AnimatedVectorDrawable (it's in a test app):

As you can see, it's still in beta stage, but I could make it look better.

I think it would look better on Lollipop and up, and for older versions we could still use the current (whole FAB spinning) animation. Here's the video of the current animation:
