Hi,

I was playing around with your sample document, and there were no issues while performing a copy operation.

Copying doesn't normally raise a problem in Writer for me either, can you try it on other devices? It could potentially be an issue with your current device.

I can not reproduce with
Version: 24.2.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 433d9c2ded56988e8a90e6b2e771ee4e6a5ab2ba

Maybe some clipboard manager installed, if not try to disable clipboard history (Settings->System->Clipboard).

Juho, please let us know if you have some special configuration or use a clipboard manager.

When you get a crash, do you get a dialog that allows sending a crash report? If so, please do share the link to one.

Also, please update to 24.2.3 and test again. We have the similar bug 160751, which a contributor can't reproduce anymore in 24.2.3.

TL;DR: The issue could be reproduced with another laptop, but version 24.2.3.2 seems to have a fix.

I could reproduce the issue with another laptop.

1st laptop:
System Model: ASUS EXPERTBOOK B5402FBA_B5402FBA
From clipboard settings: Microsoft account synching disabled, clipboard history off

2nd laptop:
System Model: HP ZBook Firefly 15.6 inch G8 Mobile Workstation PC
From clipboard settings: Microsoft account synching enabled, clipboard history on

2nd laptop worked with version 24.2.1.2 of LibreOffice.
Version: 24.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: db4def46b0453cc22e2d0305797cf981b68ef5ac
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

After I updated the 2nd laptop to version 24.2.2.2 the issue appeared.
Version: 24.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

I updated the 1st laptop to version 24.2.3.2 and the issue seems to be gone. I didn't update the software before submitting the bug report because the Check for Updates button didn't find version 24.2.3.2. Sorry, for some reason, I didn't see the issue https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160751 when I was searching for old issues.

Thank you for all that information, that's all very useful! I think we can aggregate with other reports about 24.2.2 crashing when copying + resolved in 24.2.3.
