Description dtaylor 2024-05-15 15:36:28 UTC
Description:
Frequently, when I open a LibreOffice Impress presentation, edit a slide and save it the last few characters of the slide are truncated in the saved version. The slide continues to appear correctly on the screen, the file is saved and, after saving, LibreOffice reports there have been no changes made since the last save. However, when I close and re-open the file, the last few characters of the last bullet point on the slide are missing.
A work-around is to duplicate the problem slide, make the edits in the duplicated version, delete the original slide and then save.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create and save a presentation with bullet points.
2.Open the presentation, edit one of the slides and save it.
3.Re-open the presentation.

Actual Results:
Some times: the re-opened presentation appears with the last characters missing on the edited slides.
Other times: the re-opened presentation appears as saved, as expected.

Expected Results:
The re-opened presentation should appear as saved.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Thanks for the report.
LO 7.3 is not maintained anymore.
Could you please install the latest version, 24.2, and let us know if you can still reproduce the issue?

The issue appears to have been fixed in version 24.2.3.2; I can't reproduce it in this version. Thanks for you help.

Thank you! Given the version number and the description, I am pretty confident this the same issue as bug 153161.
