the archive contains the two odp documents

Repeatedly the text changes to a specific text box have not been saved or not displayed after reload in a certain .odp document. This behavior could be reproduced multiple times.

I then saved the document to a different file and realized, that the new file was significantly smaller then the old file even though I even added some words to the new file. Therefore I believe the lost text is still somewhere in there, but is not displayed and not stored when saved to a new file.

I attach you the two documents, the original one "Der enterbte Prinz" (59.173 Bytes) and the second file "Der enterbte Prinz 2" (28.314 Bytes) saved from the first one, that is smaller, even though its basically the same content.

Text is lost from the third text box.

The distance between the third and last text box shows how much text has been lost. Some words of the missing text are "Kirill", "Viggo" and "Pyotr".

(I'm sending this not for you to retrieve the text, I don care about that, but maybe you can find a severe bug from the analyzing the files.)

Sorry, the word "Kirill" is not affected. Another missing word however is "Katia".

Can you help me find the differences?

Looking at the internal thumbnail.png shows a lot of text content.

Have had such a buggy behavior some times ago. Only some sentences disappeared when open the file. So I had to add these sentences, saved the file, started the presentation and have to do this again next time I needed the presentation.

Which system do you use? Mine was OpenSUSE.
See the files have been created with different versions of LO, fist file with original LO 7.3.6.2, second with LO 7.3.7.2 version of your distribution.

Problem: I could open the original document, could add text in the box and the new text will be saved. The file will be much smaller as the original.

We will need a description how to reproduce this behavior. At this moment I only could recognize the internal thumbnail.png and the new size after saving.

Error: I have tested with the original version 7.3.6.2, because you used LO 7.3.7.2 of your distribution.
Might be I got this buggy behavior also with LO offered by my distribution (OpenSUSE).

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04. Unfortunately there was a bug update yesterday, so I'm not sure what the version was at the time being.

Impress is at 7.3.7.2 right now. However I cannot rule out that I created/edited the document with LibreOffice under Windows at some point. The problem occurred in the Ubuntu OS though.

This is most likely bug 153161, already fixed.
Please use a currently-maintained version of LibreOffice, preferably 24.2.
Thank you!
