Libre Office 7.6 breaks file associations After installing LibreOffice 7.6, many file types (.jpg, .img, .pdf) while still retaining old file type assiciations, started to bring up the immersive "Open with..." dialog. Even if to chose from the context menu the desired action ("Open with PDF X-change viewer" for instance, still, the immersive open with dialog would be brought. The file assiciations defined in Open With Enhanced utility also would not be remembered, and the immersive dialog would still appear. Installing LibreOffice 7.3 has no such problems. Also, possibly, a separate issue, but after installing LO 7.6 the desktop context menu "Create net text document" started to create new text files with capitalized extension .TXT by default instead of former .txt.
I installed LO.7.3 after rollback and experienced no such issues. Additional Info: Version: 7.6.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 69edd8b8ebc41d00b4de3915dc82f8f0fc3b6265 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22000; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI: ru-RU Calc: CL threaded
Does using the Windows settings "Choose default by file type" resolve your issue? .img files are not even remotely a filetype handled by LO. (In reply to anixxsus from comment #0) > Also, possibly, a separate issue, but after installing LO 7.6 the desktop > context menu "Create net text document" started to create new text files > with capitalized extension .TXT by default instead of former .txt. I'd be surprised if LO had any impact on the default template Windows uses for new plain text files. Which version of Windows do you use, and is it up to date? And when installing LO, which options do you tick in the "File Type" step of the installer?
