I agree with this idea. F6 may be? It doesn’t seem to be of any use in LO. (In reply to Olivier R. from comment #1) > F6 may be? > It doesn’t seem to be of any use in LO. It is used for accessibility to cycle around between the menubar, toolbar, window, and document. Alt + Shift + F7 is another possibility which is free throughout libreoffice. OK, I didn’t see that in the customization dialog.

In that case, imho, it seems better to assign F7 to the Goto-next-error feature and launch the spelling/grammar dialog with Alt + Shift + F7, as it has to be done only once.
Or may be, we could move the thesaurus dialog (Ctrl+F7) to another hotkey. And use this one for the Goto-next-error feature.

Shorter (1 or 2 keypress) keyboard shortcuts are important to used by novice users and more complicated shortcuts are left for more advanced features. So having a 3 keypress shortcut to access the spelling dialog will be a disadvantage to novice users. Also F7 is used in many office suites as the shortcut to access the spelling dialog. > Or may be, we could move the thesaurus dialog (Ctrl+F7) to another hotkey. > And use this one for the Goto-next-error feature. A three keypress shortcut for this functionality seems appropriate as its functionality is already covered in F7 and would only be used by more advanced shortcut users. In addition to the next spelling/grammar error, jumping to the previous spelling/grammar error is also needed as an UNO command. |
