Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LO, hit create new master document
2. Drag and drop these files to the side panel
3. LO crashes. Even adding half of them makes LO to crash

I could reproduce the crash with 5.0.4, but not with 5.1 or 5.2.

Could you test with 5.1? Maybe close as WORKSFORME, if ok?

Behaves more stable, but still crashes. (on about 200's page of my files)
Linux Mint x64, kernel 4.2

Well, you may use about 20 any heavy LO documents (~30 pages each)
