Description nocseiz 2014-06-24 15:52:13 UTC
Problem description: Feature Request: I select a text with an imageĀ¹ and i want to paste it to a blank new document with unformatted text and image. But only text is shown not image.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy html slide no 1: http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/adult-health/multimedia/back-pain/sls-20076265?s=1

2. "Edit" > "Paste special.."

Current behavior: There is only three options and non of them gives the unformatted text with the image.

Expected behavior: There should be an "unformatted text with image" option available to users.

This current behaviour can steal lots of time when preparing a document to print from 15-30 html slides (web pages). Especially when copy-pasting each image file seperately, image always pasted with the formatting "[Wrap] > [optimal page wrap]"; while "No wrap" would be much useful as default setting.

Also it would be very useful to add "[Paste special..] > [unformatted text with image]; [unformatted text]; [HTML format]; [HTML format without comments]" options to right click context menu under the "Paste" option.

I hope these will became available in next version. Take care..

P.S: My english knowledge is unused for a long time. If you don't understand i will try to make it more understandable with smaller sentences.

I would like to support this report and mention that the problem is more annoying, if the user sets the CTRL + V shortcut to "Paste unformatted text". Then this shortcut does not copy any images at all. The expected behaviour would have been, that pictures being copied. Probably the assigned command does not handle pictures.

Sorry for the second comment. This problem persists in LO 5.0.2.2 (on Ubuntu 14.04)
