Hi Chris, (In reply to comment #0) > Per bug 74658 this change is apparently intentional (although I do not > understand how this is at all beneficial), so there needs to be an option to > enable to old behaviour to re-enable the workflows that depend on it. The workflow that one wants to select hidden cells, really seems the exception to me. I do applaud the fix mentioned in 74658 :) Imagine you have many rows hidden and want to make a manual selection .. :( > Previous and desired behaviour: > Selection becomes B1:C1 I do not agree that it is desired, sorry :) Cor (In reply to comment #1) > > The workflow that one wants to select hidden cells, really seems the > exception to me. I do applaud the fix mentioned in 74658 :) Maybe it is less common, but it does exist and I see no reason to make it impossible. I'm asking here for an option to choose the previous or new behaviours. > Imagine you have many rows hidden and want to make a manual selection .. :( Then either you use the new behaviour option, or you use ctrl+shift+arrow like you did in all previous versions. > > > Previous and desired behaviour: > > Selection becomes B1:C1 > > I do not agree that it is desired, sorry :) What you mean is that you don't desire it. This does not stop me desiring it or invalidate my desire for it. Well, not if the selection does not have to go to the end of a range ... > What you mean is that you don't desire it. This does not stop me desiring it > or invalidate my desire for it. Of course not :) As an option / setting, I cannot object of course. Adjust accordingly & set to new. thanks for the issue, Cor |
