Text entered in a textbox breaks at word boundaries. However, if the same text is a hyperlink - it breaks at the last insertable character. That's usually a poor choice. It's usually better to break at spaces, or slashes, for example.

but have also seen this with 7.6.0.3

Note we already have bug 40563 for Impress.

That is for the edit mode case, though.
