a very basic file, with large number of cells (with specific narrow column size).
Testing with stable version (7.4.5), the behaviour is the same, with file very slow to zoom in out. I am pretty sure this bug was solved in earlier version, and reappears now, since this exact challenging file had been transmitted to LibreOffice 2 years ago, and some improvements were made... which seems lost again. Hope to help i have the feeling we are back to this bug described here: https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/libreoffice-calc-7-0-very-slow/55970/17 Please write here info from LibreOffice's Help->ABout dialog (there is the button Copy there, use it) Version: 7.5.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c21113d003cd3efa8c53188764377a8272d9d6de CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.0; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-GB (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded i wonder if the issue is not described in detail here, since at that time, the problem was solved. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/110538 cheers [Automated Action] NeedInfo-To-Unconfirmed I confirm some delay when you try to scale the sheet in the attached file. But if you set up the column widht to nornal/default - you shouldn't see the problem with the scaling Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: d8e6b488ceaff7c88856ebcfcfec14d2d8cd7652 CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI: ru-RU Calc: CL threaded funny, if I disable Skia then LO can't open the file and uses 100% CPU instead (In reply to Roman Kuznetsov from comment #8) > I confirm some delay when you try to scale the sheet in the attached file. > But if you set up the column widht to nornal/default - you shouldn't see the > problem with the scaling > > Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community > Build ID: d8e6b488ceaff7c88856ebcfcfec14d2d8cd7652 > CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: > win > Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI: ru-RU > Calc: CL threaded > > funny, if I disable Skia then LO can't open the file and uses 100% CPU > instead Thanks. And yes, i know that with normal width, the problem is less severe. I am almost sure the problem was diagnosed by collabora team, with certainly some interesting points here: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/110538 cheers Y |
