Description Eyal Rozenberg 2022-04-08 20:48:52 UTC
My field listing is filled with dozens, or hundreds, of entries for the items in the ToC - as though they were cross-reference fields I had inserted. I don't want that! In fact, I very much doubt any user wants to have entry-level navigator visibility into the ToC, as opposed to the entire ToC being a single thing you've entered.

So, I suggest generated intra-ToC/Index entries not show up as individual items in the Navigator.

Oh, yeah, and this goes double seeing how ToC entries also appear as hyperlinks :-( ... see bug 148312.

@Eyal
Some example document would be appreciated. Gives some impression of the problem.

It manifests in every document with a ToC... but ok, sure.

Hmm. Weird. It seems that was an issue with a particular document I'm working on; and - the cross-references are not from within the ToC, they just have a serialization which refers to the ToC. So, closing this.
