row highlight is aligned with selected cell
content.xml file shows some (for me) strange formats. "Kenosis" have two different paragraph styles (Strong_20_Emphasis) that are hidden in the Styles (F11): "Ke" (T4) and "nosis" (T5). Could it be that the document once was a .doc(x)? Tested in version 7.1.8.1. <style:style style:name="T4" style:family="text"> <style:text-properties fo:font-variant="normal" fo:text-transform="none" fo:color="#000000" loext:opacity="100%" style:text-line-through-style="none" style:text-line-through-type="none" style:font-name="Calibri" fo:font-size="12pt" fo:letter-spacing="normal" fo:language="en" fo:country="GB" fo:font-style="normal" style:text-underline-style="none" fo:font-weight="normal" officeooo:rsid="02e032b6" style:font-name-asian="Calibri" style:font-size-asian="12pt" style:language-asian="zxx" style:country-asian="none" style:font-style-asian="normal" style:font-weight-asian="normal" style:font-name-complex="Arial1" style:font-size-complex="12pt" style:language-complex="zxx" style:country-complex="none" style:font-weight-complex="normal" loext:padding="0cm" loext:border="none"/> </style:style> <style:style style:name="T5" style:family="text"> <style:text-properties fo:font-variant="normal" fo:text-transform="none" fo:color="#000000" loext:opacity="100%" style:text-line-through-style="none" style:text-line-through-type="none" style:font-name="Calibri" fo:font-size="12pt" fo:letter-spacing="normal" fo:language="en" fo:country="GB" fo:font-style="normal" style:text-underline-style="none" fo:font-weight="normal" officeooo:rsid="02e0990b" style:font-name-asian="Calibri" style:font-size-asian="12pt" style:language-asian="zxx" style:country-asian="none" style:font-style-asian="normal" style:font-weight-asian="normal" style:font-name-complex="Arial1" style:font-size-complex="12pt" style:language-complex="zxx" style:country-complex="none" style:font-weight-complex="normal" loext:padding="0cm" loext:border="none"/> </style:style> <text:p text:style-name="P1"> <text:span text:style-name="Strong_20_Emphasis"> <text:span text:style-name="T4"> Freezer door? <text:s/> Ke </text:span> </text:span> <text:span text:style-name="Strong_20_Emphasis"> <text:span text:style-name="T5"> nosis <text:s text:c="5"/> megrim <text:s text:c="5"/> mdme guyon by wesley <text:s text:c="4"/> liu hsi heng <text:s text:c="2"/> </text:span> </text:span> Someone could delete my previous comment? I can confirm this in 7.3.0.3. I just upgraded from 7.2.5.x (latest) where this bug was not present. Sometimes the row/col indicator updates about one second later a move. Sometimes, seemingly if the cursor enters/exits non-empty cells, the row/col indicator does not change at all. (In reply to Robert Kisteleki from comment #7) > I can confirm this in 7.3.0.3. Also adjusted earliest affected version to 7.3.0.3 as per Robert's comment. Steve and Robert: did you test without Skia? There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! I'm using 2024.2.0.3 now, and cannot reproduce the issue.

Even with Skia active? (In reply to Robert Kisteleki from comment #17) > > Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of > > LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ > > I'm using 2024.2.0.3 now, and cannot reproduce the issue. Please provide the complete version information, in the same way as you did in your comment 12. The "UI render" data used by/in your new version is relevant. TIA. Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e2473fe3a547e5a11d3b91ab8ded833bf5b74356 CPU threads: 8; OS: macOS 13.6.4; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded No longer reproducible. Setting to worksforme. Behavior of cell highlight is very responsive now. There were a few performance fixes since the bug had been filed back in 2021, which likely also resolved this specific issue. |
