File that Excel errors trying to open
Excel errors during open. However if you rename the extension to .ods, Excel will open it.
I now realize how to reproduce it. I believe these files were created from the beginning with a .ods extension. I then renamed the extension to .xlsx, because I always like to use that extension for sharing with others. When creating a Calc file, does it change something inside the file based on the saved as extension type? (In reply to Roger Paradise from comment #3) > I now realize how to reproduce it. You can just use Save as command in File menu and select XSLX file type there. Do it and check if Office 365 can open the XLSX file (In reply to Roman Kuznetsov from comment #4) > > You can just use Save as command in File menu and select XSLX file type > there. Do it and check if Office 365 can open the XLSX file Ok. I just tried doing a Save as to XLSX and now Excel can open the file. Thanks. I renamed this bug to reflect more accurately what I had done. Of course if you just change the file extension then Office 365 will not open the file. And it's not a LibreOffice's bug and not a bug at all, it's just an user error So, I close this one, as NOTABUG Thank you. |
