While 
   Edit > Track changes > Record, 
selected text changed through 
   Format > Text > [lowercase, Uppercase, Sentence case]
does not get marked as CHANGE

I confirm this with

This is an inconsistent behaviour, because changes with Format => Chracter => Font effects get marked as change.
